UX Writing

Course development, design and instruction

I developed and designed a UX Writing program offered through the continuing education department at Seneca College. I currently teach the part-time program to a growing number of learners from around the world.

UX Writing microcredential

The UX Writing program is a microcredential—a short course designed to help people upskill, reskill and boost new skills development. It consists of two 8 class courses in UX Writing Fundamentals and UX Writing in Practice.

  • Understanding Your Audience

  • Voice and Tone

  • UX Writing Best Practices

  • Microcopy: Actions

This microcredential outlines the fundamentals of writing for user experiences by addressing the role and responsibilities of the UX writer within product design. It covers the processes and practices that enable UX writers to craft an engaging experience through words.

Upon successful completion of this microcredential, students are equipped to craft clear, concise and useful microcopy—identifying user interface patterns, applying best practices and using appropriate tone and voice.
